Jehovah's Witnesses knock on peoples doors because they believe it is part of their Christian obligation to proclaim the gospel in line with their understanding of Matthew 28: 19, 20 which reads: "Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them [...] teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you." They therefore view public preaching as part of their worship.
According to Wikipedia:
The commission from Jesus has been interpreted by evangelical Christians as meaning that his followers have the duty to go, teach, and baptize. Although the command was initially given directly only to Christ's Eleven Apostles, evangelical Christian theology has typically interpreted the commission as a directive to all Christians of every time and place[...] -- The Great Commission (Interpretation)
Other scriptures seen to be of relevance to the Jehovah's Witnesses tenet are:
**The Apostle Paul said "I kept back nothing that was profitable [unto you], but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house" -- Acts chapter 20 verse 20 (KJV)
**"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a testimony unto all the nations; and then shall the end come." -- Matthew 24:14 (American Standard Version)
**"You see, we don't go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord [...]" -- 2 Cor 4:5 (New Living Translation ©2007)

As a general rule, Jehovah's Witnesses do not have a set quota for their preaching activity. Jesus gave the commision to preach the good news at: (Matthew 28:19) Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, Some Jehovah's Witnesses who have the circumstances and the desire to do more, can sign up to be qualified as full time ministers. They can be auxiliary pioneers and regular pioneers. These individuals commit to 50 or 70 hours per month of preaching activities.

Jehovah's Witnesses are banned in a few countries. Of course, they are not banned by Jehovah God from being His witnesses. And thus we continue to be His witnesses, and for that matter we continue 'witnessing'; even if it be underground. We vary our methods in those countries. For obvious reasons we would not go publicly from house-to-house. We would not stand at a street corner holding up a Bible or another Bible publication. But we have our ways. Also for obvious reasons, we would not publish a list of the lands. Nor would the rank-&-file Witness know which lands we are banned in. And it is possible that there actually are no Witnesses of Jehovah God in the country in the question. The link below provides some information about our activities in countries that restrict us.
ANSWER FROM ONE OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES... The Conventions are open to any body who wants to go along, they are always open to the public and are free to get into as we do not charge for entry. The Convention should also be on a local radio band too.

Praise god just like in any other churchAnswer #2Jehovahs witnesses worship is making their lifestyle acceptable to God Jehovah by applying his standards in their life. When Jehovahs Witnesses go to The Kingdom Hall It is considered part of their worship, but it is more like a formal gathering for learning. They study articles along with their bibles to know and understand their creator more fully and his purposes for mankind.
There is no specific church that former Witnesses attend.
Hazrat Fatima (RAU) was a house wife. She observed strict Pardah. She didn't go out for preaching. She was a true model of a Muslim daughter, wife and mother.
