The rosary intended to be used during prayer and meditation and not as jewlery. Someone who wears a rosary to have it handy to use in prayer or so it wouldn't get lost is fine. When I was a child, nuns would wear a rosary around their neck - but it was there for them to use in prayer/meditation and not as a fashion statement. Some people say it's a sin to wear a rosary because misusing a prayer tool as a fashioto make a fashipn statement is disrespectful.
It means that some man has lost his rosary. Superstition (putting meanings on things like this) is a sin in the Catholic faith.
No it isn't.It shouldn't be even criticized for wearing rosary because it is just a method of carrying around the rosary than putting it in your pocket where it can get dirty or fall out. They wouldn't have made it in a form of a necklace if it wasn't supposed to be worn. They don't have anything against wearing the ten beaded rosaries which are worn on the wrist, so why is it sinful to wear a regular rosary?Besides, it is not disrespectful to wear a crucifix, why should it be disrespectful to wear a rosary?
we sin
AnswerNot in Judaism and Christianity. There is nothing in the Bible to prohibit a man from wearing an earing. If it is made of gold, it could be a sin in Islam, and perhaps some would say that it is still a sin for a man to wear an earring even if not made of gold.
No, it is not.Roman Catholic AnswerChristians, as in friars, nuns, and sisters have worn rosaries for many centuries. It is usually worn clipped to the belt. The rosary, of course, is a means of prayer and meditation and it should be handy so that you can use it. Most people find that carrying the rosary in their pockets is the most helpful way to do this. If you are not Catholic, I don't know if it would be considered a sin so much as just disrespectful of others to whom it is an object of great devotion, and to Our Blessed Mother, and Her Son. Above all, the rosary is not a "fashion accessory", it means belief in Jesus and is a means of praying and asking Mary to pray for you as well. I would see no reason whatsoever to wear a rosary if you were not Catholic except as a way to offend good Catholics. If your religion considers such an offense a sin, then, yes, it would be considered a sin in that instance. There was one king who used to wear the rosary, attached to his belt, in order to inspire other people to say it:The following is taken from the Eight rose in The Secret of the Rosary by Louis De Monford:Alphonsus, King of Leon and Galicia, very much wanted all his servants to honor the Blessed Virgin by saying the Rosary. So he used to hang a large rosary on his belt and always wore it, but unfortunately never said it himself. Nevertheless his wearing it encouraged his courtiers to say the Rosary very devoutly. One day the King fell seriously ill and when he was given up for dead he found himself, in a vision, before the judgment seat of Our Lord. Many devils were there accusing him of all the sins he had committed and Our Lord as Sovereign Judge was just about to condemn him to hell when Our Lady appeared to intercede for him. She called for a pair of scales and had his sins placed in one of the balances whereas she put the rosary that he had always worn on the other scale, together with all the Rosaries that had been said because of his example. It was found that the Rosaries weighed more than his sins.Looking at him with great kindness Our Lady said: "As a reward for this little honor that you paid me in wearing my Rosary, I have obtained a great grace for you from my Son. Your life will be spared for a few more years. See that you spend these years wisely, and do penance."When the King regained consciousness he cried out: "Blessed be the Rosary of the Most Holy Virgin Mary, by which I have been delivered from eternal damnation!"After he had recovered his health he spent the rest of his life in spreading devotion to the Holy Rosary and said it faithfully every day. People who love the Blessed Virgin out to follow the example of King Alphonsus and that of the saints whom I have mentioned so that they too may win other souls for the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. They will then receive great graces on earth and eternal life later on. "They that explain me shall have life everlasting life." [1] Ecclus. 24:31There have also been reports that at one of the apparitions of Our Blessed Lady, she asked that the rosary be worn around your neck. I have not heard of that, I'm just reporting what I've been told. All of that being said, I think if you have good and pious reasons for wearing a rosary, then you should consider it. If the reasons are vain or frivolous I would definitely not do it.
The spaces in a rosary have nothing to do with prayer or religious purposes. They might just be there either because of a mistake made or it could be just the style of rosary. Of course, it could be one of those things that just happens by mistake but is something monumental. If you think about it, it could represent out personal flaws or sin.
It is not a sin to wear make-up, as long as it is done within reason.
Other people define it as "sin hogar" or "sin techo".But in Spanish sounds awkward to say "los sin hogar" or "los sin techo". These are just too literal.A more robust translation is "desamparados" o "gente desamparada".Depending on context you can always say "gente que vive en la calle" or "people who live in the streets"
I don't believe in the 10 Commandments...I have read them, and I am positive that it is not a sin to wear boxers to bed
divorce is not a sin if one of the people breaks the vow
Well, it depends on your beliefs, I suppose. Most people would say that it's not a sin to find a woman beautiful.
In his teachings, Jesus emphasized that sin separates people from God and leads to spiritual death. He also taught that repentance and forgiveness are necessary to overcome sin and find salvation.
