No Catholic can accept John Calvin's teachings on predestination as they are heresy. In its widest sense predestination is every eternal decision of God, in the narrower sense is refers to the supernatural final destination of rational creatures; and in the strictest sense it is God's eternal decision to assume certain rational creatures into heaven. Although predestination is a doctrine of the Catholic Church and must be accepted, it has nothing in common with Calvin's - what is commonly called - double predestination. Bottom line, Catholic teaching is that God wills every human being (and angel) to be saved and to be in heaven with Him. Calvin's theory of double predestination says that certain creatures (angels and men) were created solely to be damned and they that have no choice in the matter. This thoroughly unchristian, and ungodly belief is behind Protestantism and is the cause of so much heartache and tragedy in history. Calvin's teaching led to the slaughter of the Native Americans by the Puritans, while the Catholics attempted to convert them and help them.

Why did catholic's not accept calvinism?

Catholics did not accept Calvinism primarily due to its fundamental theological differences, particularly regarding predestination, the sacraments, and the authority of Scripture. Calvinism emphasized the belief in predestination, where God has already chosen who will be saved, which contradicted Catholic teachings on free will and the importance of faith and works for salvation. Additionally, Calvinism's rejection of certain sacraments and the authority of the Pope clashed with Catholic doctrine, leading to significant religious and political tensions during the Reformation. These differences solidified the divide between the two branches of Christianity.

There is no need for Catholics to do so. They compiled and wrote the original Bible upon which the KJV is based and use the original, unaltered translation (The Vulgate) that has all the books included by the early Church Fathers, some of which are missing in the Protestant version.

Do the teachings of the Quran apply to every one every where?

Logically speaking, the Quran or Islamic teachings only applies to people who practised Islam. However, technically, yes the Islamic teachings can be apply to everyone and anywhere as long as they are willing to accept Islamic teachings. Also, like other religions, the Quran teaches on what is right and wrong which are very closely similar to the moral teachings of other religions, so in a way, people may be practising the Quran's teaching without realising it. Of course, there are certain terms in the Quran which are not always acceptable by other people who don't practised Islam, like the talk on same gender sex. Some might agree and some might disagree with the Quran teachings but again, technically speaking, an individual can choose to either accept or not accept the content on homsexuality. In other words, everyone at anywhere can practised Quran's teachings but only those who accept the teachings actually practised it
