Because people (mostly other religious people) think atheists worship Satan or they have no morals. Or that atheists hate god (how can you hate something you don’t believe in?) or religious people.
None of those things are true. Atheists do not worship Satan (we don’t believe in devils or demons); we don’t hate and we’re not mad at God; and we most certainly have a strong moral compass as we base our morals upon empathy and doing no harm. We don’t need fear of punishment to do good, we do good because it’s the right thing to do.
It is to hate anyone
Atheists don't hate God; they simply don't think that God exists. This does not mean they hate God anymore than not believing in the tooth fairy makes you hate the tooth fairy.
I can't answer for all atheists, and will not attempt to do so. "Atheism", means you are without a religion, it does not mean that atheists hate religion. Many Atheists are hostile towards religion in general, mainly due to the discrimination these religions teach, there's no point arguing against this, the bible teaches as much discrimination as any other holy book, such as stoning homosexuals, or killing infants. Some Atheists hate Christians more. Some Atheists hate Muslims more. Some hate Sikhs. Some hate Jews. Most hate Jehovah Witnesses, and other religions that knock on your door handing out leaflets to stop you burning in eternal damnation. (Along with the rest of the world. And some Atheists simply don't care.
The same reason people hate Christians and Jews etc. Living in a world with different belief systems will always breed hate. Everyone should be viewed as a human and should get respect as a human. We are commanded to love, not hate, our neighbors.Answer:Not all people hate atheists, most probably don't care one way or another. About a third of the world's population is atheist, agnostic or a religion that does not have such a concept.People that do hate because of another's belief are usually unconvinced of the correctness of their own belief and see any person presenting a strong contrary position as being a threat.
If by "most atheists", you are referring to the entire world, the population of atheists in China dwarfs the rest of the world's atheist population. Most Chinese Atheists adhere to a combination of Confucian and Materialistic philosophical principles. If by "most atheists", you are referring to Western Atheists, such as those in Europe and Anglo-America, these Atheists adhere to Rationalist Skepticism or Humanism as philosophical principles.
Atheists do not hate Christianity, or for that matter Islam, Judaism, Jainism, Hinduism or any of the other of the world's religions. What atheists do is have a confidence that there is no god or gods. Many Christians and other religions see such an attitude as an abomination and the atheists refusal to accept their "proofs" for belief as a personal slap in the face. What does annoy atheists is the societal pressure to swear oaths for public office and coursts, participate in religious observances (Christmas, prayers before meetings etc.), government forms requesting religious affiliation, endless attempts to convert them, the general disrespect of their opinions and the blindness of the religious to their organization's problems.
no you hate the world maybe we all hate the world...
Christians do not, generally, hate atheists but there are many Christians who see atheism as "ridiculous" primarily because of there own confidence in their God. Many Christians see miracles as proof of the existence of God. So, they might feel angry towards atheists. However, the Bible says not to hate anyone, so it would probably be wise to remind that christian person of his own beliefs.
There are over 700 million atheists worldwide and are growing year by year.
Yes there are many fiscally conservative atheists. And many christains are liberals. I am an example of the latter.
World wide there are about 700,000,000 atheists.
Atheophobia is the irrational fear and hatred of atheists that manifests itself as an aggressive prejudice against non-believers.Tolerance for atheophobia is widespread because there are more believers in the world than non-believers. Religious beliefs are so closely held they make it difficult if not impossible for most religionists to accept those who do not believe in a supernatural diety. Perhaps it makes them angry that a minority does not share their fear of the unknown. Most religious groups have actively preached against atheism and religious intolerance has created a constellation of inaccurate descriptions about atheists that include:moral inferiorityembracing evil and decadenceliving meaningless livesunsuitable for positions of responsibility and authoritya desire to destroy religionReligious intolerance is one of the worst causes of human tragedy in the world and atheists are at the top of that hate list. For some reason religionists believe it's acceptable to hate atheists.
