The death of Jesus on the cross was not just for the forgiveness of sins. By being baptized a person becomes a part of Christ himself, thereby sharing in his death, burial, and resurection. By sharing in his death a person is separated from sin because once a person dies sin is no longer able to remain attached to that person. It is as paul writes about marriage in the book of Romans. Once a husband dies the wife is free of the connection to her husband, who she was once one flesh with. In the same way a person is free from the law, which is the power of sin, and is also freed from sin itself. Sin is like a virus. A virus has no DNA of its own. It needs a live host to duplicate. It enter a living cell, attatches itself to the DNA in that cell, then when the cell divides through natural processes, the virus is also duplicated. When the cell dies the virus can no longer survive in that cell. Jesus took the sin of all men into his own body, then died thereby leaving sin completely without a living host, just like the virus example. When He rose from the dead, he no longer had sin. That is why without becoming a part of Chris through believing he is the savior, and being baptized, a person can never be freed from sin once and for all. The Bible says it is appointed to each man to die once and then the judgment. You can either die with Christ through faith and also share in his resurection, freed from sin at last, or you can die without Christ and go before the judgment seat of God with all your sins completely and permanently attached to you for all time. The Bible says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Seems like a pretty simple choice doesn't it?
The resurrection of Jesus is important to Christians because Christians see it as the resurrection that will (hopefully) one day be theirs and because it shows that Jesus did not surrender to death. The resurrection is seen by Christians as Jesus's victory over evil; evil had tried to kill Jesus, but he came back from the dead.
The resurrection is what is important, but you can't have a resurrection without first having a death.
Virtually All Christians believe that Jesus was God in human form, and He rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. YES. The life and death and resurrection of Jesus Christ will Always be important for All Christians, Everywhere and for All Time.
The death of Jesus is important to Christians because he was perfect. He committed no sins, thus he did not have to die but because he took on the sins of all humanity he was able to be the ultimate sacrifice for humanity's sins for all time. That's why Christians claim that Christ is their salvation.
The death of jesus is observed by christians the world over on good Friday.
Christmas is the time Christians celebrate Jesus' birth.Easter is the time Christians celebrate Jesus' death.
We Christians have salvation only after Jesus died and rose again, after the resurrection.
Christians and Jesus follower, practicing the way of Jesus Christ after his death
Easter ( The crucifixion and ressurection of our Lord Jesus Christ), Thanksgiving ( self explanatory) and Christmas ( The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ). Exact dates of Jesus' Birthday and Death are not known but these are the dates Christians celebrate them. Hope this helps.
It is not the death, but the resurrection of Jesus that is remembered at Easter by Christians.
Mass
We as Christians have hope after death, as we have salvation.
