If this question is asking why Jerusalem is holy to the Jewish people, please see the Related Question on Jerusalem's importance to Judaism below, which explains why Jerusalem is holy to the Jewish people.
If this question is asking why Jews believe Jerusalem to be their holy city (presumably excluding all others), this is founded on a slight misconception. Jews certainly have a reverence towards Jerusalem, but they believe that all people, Muslims, Jews, Christians, and everyone else should be welcome there, regardless of their faith, and be able to enjoy their holy sites. (Whereas when non-Jews were in control of the city, Jews were often either explicitly told or implicitly expected to not visit their holy sites.)
It is the site of the government of King David and King Solomon, and the First and Second Holy Temples stood there for hundreds of years.
