Why is there so much chaos in Africa?

Their culture rarely accept conflicting ideology, just like most religions in the world. This means they would try to dominate each other into accepting their respective beliefs. It's also part of the tribal upbringing that a man should prove his manhood, much like Gladiators in the Roman Empire. Read "Things fall apart", and you will get the idea.

Good leadership is missing. There seems to be an attraction to mankind's baser instincts. Power over another, greed, avarice and envy. Tribal and feudal means of getting things done.

Whenever power is given to a leader, he will build himself a palace and surround himself in luxuries, instead of looking after the people. He demands respeck (sic) with big sticks and guns, instead of earning it. While all this is going on, no preparation for the future is being addressed and the people suffer.

Natural disasters can be mitigated, by preparing for the future, storing provisions and building defenses against them. The existing trend, is to grab all you've got, when you've got it and to hell with the future.

When it all goes wrong, it is far easier to blame it on others, than to live up to their own shortcomings. Foreign interference, lack of aid, previous wars, slavery or religion.

It needs a different mindset, or someone who can rule sincerely with the wisdom of Solomon, until the correct mindset is learned.
