We only know the names Anne and Joachim from the apocryphal Gospel of James. There is no verification elsewhere to verify this. There is also no factual information about their ages when Mary was born except for the tradition that Anne was approaching the end of her child bearing years.
Anna Mary Robertson Moses was old but never blind.
Grandma Moses, Anna Mary Robertson.
Because her daughter was the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was the only Immaculately Conceived human being - free from original sin from the first moment of her conception, and destined to bear the son of God.According to the apocryphal Gospel of James, Anne and her husband Joachim, after years of childlessness, were visited by an angel who told them that they would conceive a child. Anne promised to dedicate the child to God's service. Joachim and Anne are believed to have given Mary to the service of the Second Temple when the girl was three years old."Hail Mary Full of Grace, the Lord is with Thee" Angel Gabriel who announced to Mary, St. Anne's daughter, that she was to be the mother of Jesus.

Not a direct verse. There are possibilities, though. The bible says that Elizabeth, who bore John the Baptist, was a kinsman of Mary, that is, a relative. Elizabeth was married to the high priest of that year, Zechariah, a Levite. Levites could only take a wife from the tribe of Levi as well. We do not know if Mary was related to Elizabeth from the same line or by marriage to Zechariah. but whatever the case, Mary had relatives in the tribe of Levi, the priestly tribe. This means that Jesus had blood relations to Levi and the priesthood, as well as legal lineage of Joseph to David. This can all be found in Luke 1. So while we do not know by exactly who connected Mary to Elizabeth, it has to be someone and Joachim and Anna (Hannah) are a possibility, though I personally would question some of the stories involving them such as Mary serving at the temple at age 3 as Samuel did, or the birth of Mary in Anna's old age, like Sarah or Elizabeth. So it is not a surprise to hear of relations among the tribe of Levi for this much the bible does make clear in Luke 1.
Joachim, the father of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is known only from the apocryphal gospel of James and nothing is mentioned in canonical scripture. There is no mention in either about the death of Joachim but one can surmise he probably died of complications of old age.
