A:

Aloysius Gonzaga, S.J. (1568-1591) was not noted for his miracles, either in life or after his death. A homily written in 1877 refers to a book was printed in 1756, in which a hundred miracles were related to have taken place, during 30 years, in Italy and Germany; all of which had been examined and approved by the ecclesiastical authorities. The homily goes on to say that many books could be filled with the miracles that have been wrought throughout Christendom by the intercession of this holy youth. This was written over three hundred years after the death of Saint Aloysius and could be regarded as more hagiology than history.
