Catherine of Aragon had three older sisters, the most famous of them was Juana la Loca (aka Juana/Joana of Castile). She was known for marrying Philip "the Handsome" of Castile, giving birth to Charles V (who later in Catherine's time would become the Holy Roman Emperor) and for exhibiting wild, erractic behavior (possibly due to schizophrenia).
