if, by the three major monotheistic religions you mean Judaism, Islam and Christianity, its all just based on their messiahs and holy books
Religion- Messiah- Holy Book
Judaism - No Messiah - The Torah (i believe, not 100% certain)
Islam- Muhammad - The Koran
Christianity- Jesus- The Bible
then there are a few morals that contribute to the foundation of each, like how Jews are supposed to only eat Kosher, i believe Muslims aren't supposed to eat pork, but i haven't studied that religion much, and christians are so divided that its different for each
Mormons cant drink alcohol or do any sort of drug (however, i believe they are permitted to use certain, legal drugs like aspirin) and have many taboos on sexuality.
Catholics are allowed to drink, i don't recall the bible mentioning much about drug use but i'd assume it isn't allowed, and they have less taboos on relationships, i think the only one is that catholics are forbidden to have sex before marriage, where as Mormons aren't even allowed to kiss until marriage.
that's really just the answer in a nutshell, you can find alot more online and in libraries
Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are all monotheistic religions that believe in one God. However, they differ in their beliefs about prophets (Jews recognize them as messengers of God, Christians view Jesus as the Son of God, and Muslims see Muhammad as the final prophet), holy texts (Torah, Bible, Quran), and religious practices (such as dietary restrictions and modes of prayer). Additionally, they have unique historical backgrounds and cultural influences that shape their traditions and interpretations of faith.

God and Messiah Jesus Christ, though Jewish people believe in the Messiah, most don't recognize yet that it is Jesus. While Muslims believe in Jesus from their scripture they don't recognize Christ yet for who he really is. The prophet Abraham is viewed highly by all 3 religions.
It is not a single, organized religion, but a blend of local religions.
Polytheism is the belief in multiple gods or deities, while monotheism is the belief in a single, all-powerful god. Polytheistic religions often have a pantheon of gods with distinct roles and powers, while monotheistic religions maintain the existence of only one divine being.

Great question! :)Judaism, Christianity and Islam are frequently referred to, though not to the exclusion of others, as the three major monotheistic religions of the world.A nice resource for an historical and comparative review of these religions is Huston Smith's The World's Religions - Our Great Wisdom Traditions, (New York, NY: Harper Collins Publishers, 1991).
