We do not know their ages. This was before David became King of Judah and then the combine kingdoms of Judah and Israel. Saul became king about 1020 B.C. untill about 1004 B.C. Could have been about 1010 B.C. roughly.

When Saul realized that the LORD was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David," So yeah it was prearranged. Though I feel as though Michal may have asked to marry David after he turned down Merab.
