2 Corinthians 12:7 - And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. [NKJV]
As he set out to accomplish work for God, the apostle Paul encountered considerable opposition. Paul continually ran into people who obstructed his efforts. II Corinthians 11:24-26 "Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;" Because Paul was accomplishing much for God, Satan specifically targeted him. Only a few verses after listing his perils, Paul described this targeted response by the adversary as a thorn in the flesh, "the messenger of Satan." II Corinthians 12:7 "And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure." The apostle Paul's thorn in the flesh was people inspired by Satan to obstruct his ministry. An example to us, Paul recognized his human inability to overcome this dilemma. His response was that he kept his eyes on God and relied on His strength, repeatedly going to Him in prayer. II Corinthians 12:8,9 "For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
"The Lord of all flesh" is a title used in the Bible to refer to God as the ultimate ruler and creator of all living beings. It emphasizes God's sovereignty and power over all living creatures, highlighting His authority and dominion over all life on Earth. It signifies that God is the source of life and the sustainer of all living things.
In Christianity this is a reference to Jesus Christ and, therefore, to the bread/wine of communion (in some denominations this reference to communion food is metaphorical, others believe that the bread/wine actually become Jesus).
The Holy Bible clearly states that Christ Jesus is a man, which is made of flesh and bones, while the Holy Spirit is the Comforter whom God has sent to help human beings in times of trials & tribulations and help the servants of God in remaining strong in the faith. And so, how can Christ Jesus be God, when he is made of flesh and bones, and God is a spirit? How can the Holy Spirit be God if God sent the Holy Spirit? There is only One True God, and that is the Father in Heaven, not including the Son and the Holy Spirit.
It frustrates a lot of Christians that they pray to God to get God to heal a really ill person and then the person dies. It seems like God doesn't answer prayer. But God is a good God. God has already answered the prayer. God answered the prayer 2000 years before the person even got sick. Before they got sick God released His healing power onto the earth. God works through people. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives on the inside of believers. God needs believers to be speaking the Word of Life. Believers heal sick people by commanding them healed in the Name of Jesus.
In his prayers, Paul asked God to take away a "thorn in the flesh."
No but God can heal you
Did God take on flesh, and if so, why
For God Your Soul... For Me Your Flesh was created in 1990.
flesh
I believe God created woman from flesh of man; because God is a man and a spirit; not a woman. I believe God created Man to be him, in the flesh.
This 'god' cannot and will not heal HIV. If medicine cannot heal HIV, praying cannot heal HIV. Get edicine to subdue the effects. It's the only thing you can do. (That will work)
Although there are similarities in the story and background; the simple fact is the Our Blessed Lord is reality and is God Almighty in the flesh and Damien Thorn is pure fiction, and, even as portrayed is only a creature like every other spirit or man.
God is strong enough, but it is not always His will to heal people.
No, according to the Bible, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
He did't see it, god isn't real.
No. God is spirit. He has no bones nor flesh.
