John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. Jesus, according to this scripture 'laid down His life.' He did this willingly for others in the same way, although a different context, that a brave firefighter will often risk their life to save someone from a fire. Thus according to any normal definition of the term Jesus clearly did not commit suicide. Another way to see how clearly Jesus' death was not suicide is to compare it to the death of John the Baptist who hung himself. Jesus submitted to the will of those who hated Him and it was the Roman soldiers who carried out the execution. Many martyrs and other innocent people have also submitted in this way down through history. No-one considers them to have committed suicide as it was not self-administered.
Jesus, as the second person of the Trinity, is God. Jesus subjected Himself and His glory to the Father during His time on earth. Just before the moment of death, Jesus signified the end of this phase with these words.
The initials INRI stand for the Latin phrase "Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum," which translates to "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." These initials were placed on Jesus' cross by Pontius Pilate to indicate the charge against him.
The shepherds did not give Jesus gifts; it was the wise men (Three Kings) who presented gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus. They offered these gifts as symbols of his royalty, divinity, and eventual sacrifice.
The scriptures indicate that he recognized some ring of truth in what Jesus taught (John 3:1+2), but his 'fear of man' kept his curiosity hidden. Having ANYthing to do with Jesus could destroy one's life in the Jewish community, so he met Jesus secretly at night to ask questions. Though a Pharisee, he still had some connection with the Christian congregation after Jesus' death(Joh 19:38-40) , though nowhere do the scriptures say whether he ever became a Christian.
In religious texts, depending on the belief system, figures such as Lucifer, also known as Satan, and Judas Iscariot are often portrayed as betrayers of God. Lucifer is said to have rebelled against God, while Judas Iscariot is known for betraying Jesus.
Muslim view: Jesus did not commit suicide. In body, he was slain. Jesus, like all prophets, were tasked with the duty of delivering a message and scripture to a specific group of people. His audience didn't approve of him and since he couldn't look the other way, he was slain.
not technically If you stand on a railroad tracks and you saw a train coming and you don't step aside, that would be suicide. If as you say, Jesus knows that he will be killed and did nothing to avoid it, then I think that is tantamount to Jesus committing suicide.
Judas Iscariot was one of the disciples of Jesus Christ. He was the treasurer of the group and betrayed Jesus to be crucified. He later on committed suicide as he was weighed down with guilt of betraying his master.
Christians believe that Jesus did not commit suicide, but rather willingly sacrificed himself to save humanity from sin. God sending his son, Jesus, to be crucified is seen as an act of love and redemption, not violence. Christians believe that Jesus' death and resurrection bring salvation and reconciliation between God and humanity.
No he did not.
Jesus didnt commit suicide he was killed because of those who didn't believe in him and through his religion and the people that followed him was starting to be to strong so then they forced him to death. Wrong....Jesus knew if he did what he did, he would be put to death not much unlike those who do the "cop by suicide" acts that we see today. So yes, he committed suicide for all mankind. He took the blame for all of us then did the deed. Ouch!.....makes you think, don't it? Years ago, when the bible was being written, people believed in animal and human sacrifice. Because the primitive people that wrote the bible believed in human sacrifice, they wrote the fable that their god sent his son to be violently tortured and sacrificed by commiting suicide. So their god brutally sacrificed his own son to himself by ordering his son, and making his own son commit sacrificial suicide.

I'm not sure if it's correct since this is wht i think it is, but it's kinda like how a person wud feel when he's going to commit suicide. it's like his hesitations and all that stuffs... yeaah
Answer: Judas was not present since he had committed suicide.
There is no proof in the bible anywhere. Whoever said that is not speaking the bible correctly and if they want to believe that than that is OK, but not the truth. if you asked Jesus into your heart than you are most likely not going to hell. but, that does not give you the right to do anything you want and repent later, because in that you could loose your faith. That does not give you the right to commit suicide, because suicide is a selfish thing to do. Just think about all of the grief that you will give your friends and family.
