God reveals His nature/character to mankind many times in the names/titles He calls Himself. However, here is a summary statement from Him:
Isaiah 46:9-10New King James Version (NKJV)9 Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yetdone,
Saying, 'My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,'
The answer will probably vary depending on whom you ask - his or her religious beliefs. Here is one answer. My belief (as a Bahá'í) is that God won't reveal Himself directly; rather, He regularly sent inspired people to Earth, to reveal His purpose for the corresponding era.
While God created everything from the beginning, no, He did not outright create demons. Demons are evil and God does not create evil. Any and everything that comes from God always begins as being pure. Later on, it may become corrupted, but it is not because God made it corrupt. Demons, for example, are fallen Angels of Heaven. They were once good, but became evil on their own.
This is a complex theological and philosophical question with differing perspectives. Some believe God created the brain and all things, while others suggest that the concept of God is a product of human brain function and cognitive processes. Ultimately, beliefs about the origins of the brain and the divine are varied and deeply personal.

Salvation history is the unfolding of God's plan to save humanity from sin and bring them into a loving relationship with Him. It encompasses key events in the Bible where God reveals Himself and His plan for redemption, culminating in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This history shows God's continual commitment to restore and reconcile humanity to Himself.

Most religions are relatively silent on WHY God created the world (assuming the religion teaches that God DID create the world, as opposed to it being a creation of some other being or an accident). So, bottom line: we would need to know what specific religion you're referring to when you ask the question for it to make any sense at all, and even then, it might not have an answer (at least not an answer that anyone other than God himself (or herself, or itself, or themselves) knows).
