Joseph was a good man and he did not want to cause Mary any embarrasment so he had planed to call off the marriage quietly. But an angel of the Lord came to him and told him to stay with Mary, which he did. From the book of Matthew, chapter 1, starting with verse 19 in the King James Version it says; 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
In Jewish law, an engagement was binding. If either was discovered to have been unfathful even though they were not yet married, it was law to terminate the engagement. Joseph assumed Mary had been, since she was pregnant, but was not going to publicly disgrace her.
I don't know exactly what you mean... So, I am going to answer yes. Mary did lose Jesus when he died, but, she never lost him as a baby. I am assuming that answers your question. If it doesn't, the story of Jesus is all in John.
We know nothing about either when or where Mary and Jospeh were born, nor when or where they died. Therefore, we do not know how old they were when they died. It is only assumed that Joseph died before the mission of Jesus began, because he is not mentioned in the gospel accounts.
The shepherds believed the angels' message because they immediately went to Bethlehem to see the newborn baby, Jesus, for themselves. Their actions demonstrated that they trusted the message they had received from the angels.
We do not know when Joseph was born or when he died. He was probably born about 50 BC and was dead by 30 AD.
AnswerIt is very unclear where Mary and Joseph lived before Jesus was born. The only sources we have on this are the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, which appear to be in mutual disagreement.Luke's Gospel makes it clear that, in the author's view, Mary and Joseph lived in Nazareth but travelled to Bethlehem where Jesus was born in a stable, there being no room in the inn. The young couple soon afterwards took Jesus to Jerusalem and then returned peacefully to Nazareth. There are some historical problems with this account, that make it seem doubtful.Matthew's Gospel seems to say that Mary and Joseph lived in a house in Bethlehem before Jesus was born. Afterr the visit by the magi, they fled to Egypt and remained there until the death of King Herod. They then returned to Judea, implying that this was indeed their home but, being warned by God in a dream, turned aside and travelled to Galilee, where they then dwelt in a city called Nazareth. From this, it seems at least unlikely that the young couple lived in Nazareth. We do not know where Mary and Joseph lived before Jesus was born.
Joseph is a figure in the Gospels, the husband of Mary, mother of Jesus. Jesus although God, was born and lived a fully human existence (in him God came to us and fully shared our lives). Therefor Joseph acted as a human father to Jesus and brought him up as any father would a baby, teaching him how to be a man.
Joseph was given a vision from God of who Jesus is, our savior, when Mary was still carrying Christ in her womb. Only God and Joseph know all of Joseph's feelings.
Joseph, Mary's husband
Jesus,Mary and Joseph as far as i know
I don't know. Why don't you go and ask Jesus.
Dismas and Gestas were the thieves Mary and Joseph encountered on the way to Bethlahem. Dismas was also one of the thieves crucified with Jesus, the one who was forgiven by Jesus.
No!! Joseph Smith is not more important than JESUS!! Who did Joseph Smith save?? What miracles did Joseph Smith perform to help others?? Did Joseph Smith believe that all races were equal and created to help and love one another and not believe that certain races were evil? No I know Joseph Smith was and will never be more important than JESUS our Lord and savior...
i don't personally know but in the time of "Jesus", Jesus meant Joseph so there could be many people known as "Jesus"
Jesus's father was known to be God but god impregnated Mary to give birth to Jesus and Joseph was kind of like his 'stepdad' if you now what I mean as they weren't actually related but he cared for Jesus. So essentially, God Mary ( also known as mother mary and virgin mary) Joseph were his family as far as I know........ Hope that helps
----------------------- In Matthew's Gospel, Joseph knows this because an angel appeared to him in a dream and told him about Jesus. In Luke's Gospel, Joseph knows this because Mary told him that an angel had appeared to her and told her about Jesus.
