There are very few people in the world with the level of dedication it takes to become a paladin. A paladin is a thankless job that is harder than any other. You will not be wealthy or famous or even well liked by most. There are two required steps.
1) The first is very hard, but by far the easier of the two. Find out what is most important to you - carefully explore the ins and outs of your beliefs, your moral and ethical systems. Once you are satisfied that your tenants are pure and just...
2) Live by them ALWAYS. A paladin is uncompromising. This will make *most* people very uncomfortable, as the world has become increasingly subjective and increasingly disinterested in virtue or morality. EVERYTHING will be hard. You'll want to tell white lies to spare peoples' feelings or avoid conflict, you'll want to use your position as a paladin to influence others to *your own advantage*. You'll expect recognition for your efforts, like you would get in any other field of commitment - you won't get it. You will, however, be despised by and targeted by the unjust, who will take every opportunity they have to make your life miserable. And that misery will be your only dependable companion, as even your close friends won't be able to follow you on your path.
The good news is... that's it. Everything else is optional. All you need are beliefs that are good and just and the will to truly adhere to them. A network of dependable people you can trust will make your life much easier, but easy isn't something a paladin seeks. A ceremony, such as an accolade, is also nice, to let your friends and loved ones know you're serious and that they should support you - although, this too is irrelevant, since only you need to take yourself seriously.
There are a small handful of us in the world, but if we can influence even two people each in our *lifetime,* then one day the world might be brought back from the brink of what humanity has done to itself. Questions like yours give us hope that people out there are still trying.

It is unlikely to have a life completely devoid of problems or challenges, as they are a natural part of the human experience. However, it is possible to develop coping mechanisms and skills to navigate these obstacles effectively and minimize their impact on overall well-being. Embracing a positive mindset, seeking support from others, and practicing resilience can help in facing difficulties with more ease.
