Check that they actually want to believe in God first.

If they do, what i do is pray my heart out for them and i talk to them about God face to face. Tell this person that most likely do not believe in God because they have never felt the Lords love. "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

Encourage open discussion about their doubts or concerns, offer to pray with them or for them, share personal experiences of faith that have been meaningful to you, and suggest seeking support from a spiritual leader or counselor. Ultimately, support them in their journey and respect their beliefs and feelings.

While it is tempting to intervene in another's walk,

and churches encourage proselytizing, etc, Christ's

words on the matter should be considered here;

"Count the cost."

While this might be difficult with someone you love,

see that this is most likely due to erroneous doctrine

given you by the church, and that it is God who

blesses and curses, and examines the heart--and

hardens it, when He desires.

Your best bet would be to continue in your unwavering faith in God,

and see that any serious walk of faith contains a period of testing, that the

"one" you inquire of is surely undergoing right now. A review of Job will

outline for you that this is all about "premises revealed," yours and theirs.
