When your baptized, In Jesus Name, Your are emersed in Water. At that point the Lord washes away all of your sins. Once you are baptized, you seek the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of the Lord, the Comforter that was promised by Jesus before before his death and resurrection. When you speak in toungues, you are filled with the Holy Ghost. That is your evidence to know that you have the Holy Ghost. You have repentance, baptism in Jesus' Name, and then you're filled with the Holy Ghost. Read Acts 2, this explains when the Holy Ghost fell on the day of Pentecost. Also read Luke 11 where Jesus speaks about sending a Comforter (the Holy Ghost).
When He was 30 years of age(as was supposed) and before He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Jesus was baptized by John in the river Jordan. Matthew 3:13-17 Mark 1:9-11 Luke 3:21-23 John 1:29-33
Yes. There is scriptural precedent for being re-baptized: Acts 19:3-5 - And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism." Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus." When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
To my knowledge, there is nothing in the Bible which directly states the answer to this question. I believe that if a person is truly saved, they will go to heaven whether or not they are baptized. Baptism is not a requirement for salvation; rather it is an act of obedience. It is an outward sign of an inward change. Some people will die before they have a chance to get baptized, but if you are truly a Christian I would strongly suggest that you get baptized.
A disciple of Damascus named Ananias.Acts 9:17, 18 - And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. [NKJV]
Baptism is a symbolic gesture in which the person 'dies' or is submerged under water, and is then 're-born' as a new person in Christ. Before a person is baptized a spiritual quest usually takes place. It should not be taken lightly but real soul searching should proceed the baptisim. It is rendered useless unless the person truly has a spiritual change of heart. This includes an entirely differernt life-style that includes adherence to God's laws and commandments.
Well, are you Apostolic? There, now you know.
Being filled with the Holy Ghost is real.
The pentecostal experience is being filled with the Holy Ghost.
Nothing more than christianic doctrine ideologies and christianic theories. You'll always need to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Being filled with the Holy Spirit means experiencing the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in your life, guiding and empowering you. Baptism, on the other hand, is a symbolic act of publicly declaring one's faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to following Him.
Christians believe that being baptized means that you have been united with the holy spirit, as a result, you will make it into heaven because you have the spirit in you. There is no age limit for being baptized, but most people get baptized as babies.
Being baptized again.
I have no idea
Yes, you need to be baptized and Catholic to receive communion. If you are not baptized and are under age 8 you can be baptized with the permission of parent. If you are not baptized and are under 18 you will need to show an understanding of the sacrament before being baptized. If you are not baptized and are an adult you will need to attend classes and then be baptized and confirmed and receive communion at an Easter Vigil Mass.
Luke 3: 21- 22: "Now it came to pass when all the people were baptized, that Jesus also being baptized and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased."The Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit/Ghost are not three gods - they are One God.
There is no difference if you already believe that the Son of God is Jesus Christ.
The Bible verse says that being baptized is a symbol of cleansing and rebirth, signifying a commitment to following Jesus and living a life of faith.
