The story regarding the creation as told in scripture is straight forward and to the point. The only legitimate questions that would come out of the biblical account would be "How did God do it?". This writers opinion would have to say that God had the power to organise matter which already existed in the universe. That this matter had intelligence to obey a higher law i.e God.
For there to be some kind of super being called God to have done all of this is beyond the comprehension of some mortals, so in their own misguided way they attempt to come up with some other logical way of explaining the creation. I lay no blame at their door as God has given us the intelligence to reason things out in our own minds. So what is the truth? The Bible account that God organised all things to serve His purpose, or man's account to denigh God His might and power and to bask in their own lime light?
The Quran differs from the Old Testament in that it does not attempt to be a narrative, in the way that the Old Testament does. Rather, it contains a series of affirmations of the same creation story. Islam arose in southern Arabia at a time when Judaism and Christianity were both beginning to make inroads into the ancient pagan beliefs, and arguably the Islamic creation story is simply based on the biblical stories.
There are two biblical creation stories (Genesis 1:1-2:4a and Genesis 2:4b-2:20) that are quite distinct and even contradictory, and each should be read on its own terms, rather than assuming a single creation account. The idea that there is only one biblical creation theory arises because pious readers, believing that the text cannot contain contradictions, ignore the major disjunctions between the two creation stories and tend to treat the second story as the fuller, more detailed account of the creation of man that the first story simply reported. The Priestly source is credited with writing the first biblical creation account, and the Yahwist is credited with writing the second biblical creation account. Thus the Priestly source and the Yahwist were responsible for the biblical concept of creation, although of course each of them was passing on older traditions which they had learnt.Essentially the modern documentary hypothesis is not so much to be compared to the biblical concept of creation, but an explanation for its origin. For more information, please visit:http://christianity.answers.com/theology/the-story-of-creationhttp://christianity.answers.com/bible/the-pentateuch-explained
Hello, i add, a God is manufacture as he desire but logically, thus no specific form is used by a God, in other hands, a God is completely true and good forever and in anytime, but the person has the right from a God for ask himself/herself such as the following question "a God is good but how for protect myself from him and modefied him if he become mistake in anytime?" , thus a God accept for find answers for such this question, you can find many answers, but my answer is, you can use the logic for deal with a God , because the logic doesn't govern him, but a God doesn't be non_fit or not parallel with logic, and metaphysics _everything_ connect with theology too logically, and God is kind with person, thus his exams for person be optional , and person can not take it if he desire, thanks for a God always,
Chapter 2 of Genesis recaps the creation week and provides extra details on Adam and Eve's mode of creation and of their home in Eden. Chapter 1 sets out all of the creative work in order. Both deal with the same story but with different emphasis of the detail.
In various mythologies, the concept of a "first god" can differ. However, in many mythologies, a primordial deity, such as Chaos or Gaia, is often considered one of the first beings to emerge at the beginning of creation. These beings are seen as the source of all creation and other gods and goddesses.
They all are expressions of the worldwide tradition that the universe was created and is not accidental. They differ in their details.See alsoEvidence for Creation?

A:The aboriginal creation story is known as the 'dreamtime'. Different tribes of Australian aborigines had different dreamtime stories, many of which can never be told to the uninitiated or to women. Those that we do know bear a family resemblance to some of the stories in the earlier chapters of Genesis.

All religions agree that the universe was not the result of accident. Only Evolutionists entertain the notion that random occurrences could bring about the vastly complex living things that exist. While WikiAnswers is not the place to preach the merits of one religion over others, it may be pointed out that the Creation-narrative of Genesis is accepted by billions of people, and it has an unbroken tradition for over three thousand years.See also:http://religion.answers.com/controversy/is-there-evidence-against-evolutionhttp://judaism.answers.com/jewish-philosophy/can-you-prove-that-god-existshttp://www.allaboutscience.org/intelligent-design.htmhttp://www.pathlights.com/ce_encyclopedia/sci-ev/sci_vs_ev_26.htm
In addition to the Concept of Original Sin, another major difference in Christian and Jewish interpretations of the Garden of Eden is that some Christians see the Garden as a heavenly place outside of space and time. Therefore, a return to the Garden, and paradise in general, is restricted to the heavenly realm. In Judaism, the Garden of Eden is a physical place which is no longer accessible. This leads to Jews finding it necessary to rebuild and improve the Earth to bring paradise back, whereas Christians find the idea of building the City of God on Earth to be problematic since it can only exist in the heavenly realm.
The creation of Adam and Eve is to be found in Genesis chapter 2. There is another story of the creation of the first humans in Genesis chapter 1, but this was written by a different author at a different time. Leon R. Kass (The Beginning of Wisdom: Reading Genesis) says that the two stories should not be confused as they differ not only in content but also in tone, mood and orientation. For more information, please visit: http://christianity.answers.com/theology/the-story-of-creation

Google it and it will come up with loads, although the stories will differ.
Stories are not associated with a single writer.
Though many Christians and evolutionists alike deny there is any evidence in the Bible that would support the concept of a "big bang" that started the universe, the very fact that Genesis 1 describes how God created the heavens and Earth is Biblical evidence that supports the concept of the "Big Bang Theory." Certainly, when God spoke out the existance of the heavens and earth, there would have been a sudden, or "big bang" manifestation of the words He spoke out. Where those who believe in creation actually differ from those who believe in evolution comes after "The Big Bang." While evolutionists believe life came into existence by chance, creationists believe life came into existence by design. They also differ in that evolutionists believe all life evolved from a simple organism, while creationists believe each life form is a result of a unique creation of God. In evolution, man is an evolved life form, and in creation, man is the unique creation of God.
