Simeon and Anna recognised Jesus
Simeon and Anna were two godly Israelites in the temple who recognized that Jesus was the messiah. Simeon had been waiting to see the Messiah before he died, while Anna, a prophetess, praised God and spoke about Jesus to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.
Simeon and Anna waited to meet the Messiah at the temple in Jerusalem. When Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple to present Him to the Lord, Simeon and Anna were both there and recognized Him as the fulfillment of God's promise.
Simeon, a devout man in Jerusalem, expressed his gratitude for living long enough to see the Messiah when he encountered the infant Jesus in the temple. This account is recorded in the Gospel of Luke in the Bible.
The two people who witnessed the presentation of Jesus in the temple as a baby were Simeon and Anna. Simeon was a devout man who had been promised by God that he would not die before seeing the Messiah, and Anna was a prophetess who recognized Jesus as the Redeemer.
Simeon was a righteous and devout man who lived in Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit revealed to him that he would die before he saw the Messiah. Simeon went to the temple and held the Christ Child, and blessed the family. The prophet Anna was a widow who never left the temple after her husband passed away seven years after her wedding. She spread the news about the Christ Child to everyone in Jerusalem looking for redemption.
When Jesus was brought to the temple as a baby, a man named Simeon recognized him as the Messiah.
Simon recognized Him as the Messiah when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to the temple to be consecrated to the Lord. Matt. 2:21-35.
The old man in the temple who at once recognized that the baby of Joseph and Mary was the Messiah, he also told Mary that a sword would Pearce your heart because of him. He also said now let your servant depart in peace. He was about 80 years old but he was sure it was the Messiah the people had waited for centuries to come.

In Luke 2:22 Mary and Joseph take Jesus to the temple to present Him to the Lord.There was a man in the temple by the name of Simeon. The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would see the Lord's Christ before he died. He recognized Jesus as that Messiah.Then in verse 36 we are introduced to Anna, a prophetess who lived in the temple night and day praying. She also saw Jesus and spoke to the Lord and gave Him thanks for the Messiah Jesus.
