The New Testament sets forth qualifications for two types of office bearers in the church, elders and deacons. The qualifications for deacons are most fully set forth in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. The New Testament nowhere states that deacons should be apt to teach. Paul states that elders should be "able to teach" (1 Tim. 3:2) and to exhort and rebuke according to sound doctrine (Titus 1:9), but the same requirements are not laid upon deacons--although Paul's insistence that deacons "hol[d] the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience" (1 Tim. 3:9 NKJV) implies that deacons should have some knowledge of the truth of the gospel (cf. Col. 1:25-27).
Yes, a deacon should be apt to teach in order to effectively serve the church community by sharing and explaining religious teachings, principles, and values. This ability helps in guiding others, promoting understanding, and fostering spiritual growth among the congregation.
In the Catholic Church, permanent deacons can be married men. However, if they are single at the time of ordination, they are expected to remain celibate if their spouse passes away. In the Eastern Orthodox Church, men who are already married may be ordained as deacons.
The gender of the noun "deacon" is typically masculine.

A deacon wears a stole over the left shoulder to distinguish their role from that of a priest, who wears it around the neck. This manner of wearing the stole reflects the deacon's role as a servant, and symbolizes their readiness to serve others.

APT stands for Awareness Presentation Team. It is a group of cadets who go to middle and/or elementary schools and teach the kids about drugs, alcohol, and help with activities. I'm not aware of an APT ribbon, but i know there is a badge that can be worn on your uniform.
Typically deacons may be referred to simply as deacon, but depending on their level of education, reverend is also sometimes appropriate. A permanent deacon in the Catholic church should be addressed as Deacon; however, a transitional deacon (a Seminarian) should be addressed as Reverend Mr.
