Jesus prays for Himself, His disciples, and for those who believe in Him.
The account of this miracle can be found in the Gospel of John, chapter 2: verses 3-11+46.
The Gospel of John, including chapter 3, is traditionally attributed to the Apostle John, a disciple of Jesus. However, authorship of the Gospel is debated among scholars.
Yes, Jesus is recorded in the Bible as having prayed with others, such as his disciples and followers. One well-known example is the Last Supper, where Jesus prayed with his disciples before his crucifixion.
The prayer commonly referred to as "the high priestly prayer" (John 17) was prayed after the Lord Jesus had left the upper room with his eleven disciples (John 13:41) and before He crossed over the ravine of the Kidron on His way to the Garden of Gethsemene (John 18:1). In fact, the intercession of the Great High Priest is continuing even now in heaven itself in the presence of God the Father (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 9:24).
Jesus knew He would soon be put to death and prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Throughout this Gospel, the title is the Gospel of John. The headings in chapter 2 are 'Jesus changes water into wine' and Jesus clears the Temple Courts.'
The account of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead is found in the Gospel of John, chapter 11.
im not sure what deity means, but i know that jesus prayed at 9:00, noon, and sundown. and he prayed all night before he taught the gospel
Jesus prayed more than three times while he was on the earth. He prayed to his Father numerous times throughout his earthly ministry of 3 1/2 years. Check the gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
The gospel author who traces Jesus' lineage back to Adam is Luke, in the Gospel of Luke chapter 3.
Romans 1:16 says "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ..."
Jesus is baptized in the Bible in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 3, verses 13-17.
However many times Luke records Jesus as having prayed, he most certainly does not state that Jesus only prayed eight times. Not every event and detail of Jesus life was recorded by each of the Gospel writers nor even the whole by all of them put together. John states plainly that much was left out of his Gospel, even though he had much the others did not have. Luke records 'in order' a series of events and teachings in Jesus' life. He records a number of times that Jesus did various things, including pray. Nowhere does he claim to record every prayer Jesus ever made. Nor does he record every miracle either.
Yes, read the first chapter in the Gospel according to Matthew and the first chapter in the Gospel according to Luke.
The very beginning; chapter 1 verses 2 through 16.
In the gospel of John, the eleventh chapter, the name of Jesus appears twenty four times, the most of any chapter in the Bible. It is interesting to note that the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ (full title), also written by John and about the same size as the gospel of John only mentions the name of Jesus fourteen times in the entire book.
Luke 3:23-38.
