Many people are now describing themselves as "spiritual, not religious".
You probably are agnostic because Agnostics believe In God and aren't quite sure of a religion, or they aren't sure about God's existence.

An athiest is someone who doesn't believe in God.

A Monothiest is someone who believe's in one God.

If you believe in one or more gods, but not necessarily God, you're a Theist. From being a theist, you can go even more in the specifics. There is polytheism and pantheism and so on.

The opposite of theism is Atheism or Agnosticism.

Atheism is technically the belief that there is no god, but this is not necessarily the same as not believing. In a broader definition it is commonly used for those who do not believe at all.

Agnosticism comes from the Greek word for knowing, and basically means that one cannot know whether or not there is a god. Those who say they believe in something often use this concept, however it says more about what we are able to know, not what we believe.

If you believe in the spirit (or soul) of nature, you're an Animist. Animos is the Greek word for soul. Animism goes for nearly anything that is not established as a religion, and encompasses everything from respect of nature to worship of mountains, rivers and big boulders.

A:An agnostic is effectively someone who does not really believe anything about God, but is willing to do so. Your question seems to go beyond the agnostic position to a belief that at least some of it must be true. I am not sure if there is a formal term for this. Perhaps a 'searcher after truth'?

Being a believer but not religious is simply being a believer.

None of us are born with knowledge, we have to get it or have it given to us. Religion is good to show us God. Many will tell you that you must have a sort of connection to others in religion; this is to be able to gain more knowledge and ideas. Though I would advise against people turning from the church because of what the people in it do, if you find another path your choice to love God is your choice and it is precious beyond measure.

I was raised Catholic, became a Christian and now I am a believer, I call myself a Cosmic because I believe in Jesus, but I believe that each one of us is made by an individual creator. This is kind of a belief in many other religions, but the most important part is that you can say "I Choose God" and it is of your own free will. Many see religion and disavow God because of what the people in a religion do, so being a believer is not a bad thing.

Another term could be a deist, which is someone who believes in a higher power but does not adhere to a specific religious doctrine.
