Dust
Clearly the standard answer from the Bible and most other historical and literary sources is that God made man in His image. However the wording of the question, and the fact that the author failed to capitalize "god" though it was used as a name, indicates that this person most likely disagrees with this answer and is instead raising a philosophical question. In other words, is God real, or did we make him up? (the questioner is clearly interested in the existence of the monotheistic God of Christianity, Judaism, or Islam, etc..., as the question refers to "god" in the singular and uses a familiar biblical phrase) It certainly sounds like a reasonable hypothesis to say that humans could have made up a god to suit their needs; Needs for security, purpose, love, immortality. Of course most people throughout history and today, both educated and not so, have concluded that this hypothesis is incorrect. One cannot say this with scientific certainty, but one also cannot support this hypothesis with scientific certainty. In the end this question has been argued in one form or another for most of human history. A wiki answer will hardly be capable of touching on more than a small sliver of the evidence, which would not do justice to the question. Good luck in your search.
God uses figures of speech throughout the bible to call attenention to what is important. If the ground was dry you could say 'the ground is dry' which would be fine. If you wanted to call attention to the sentence you would say 'the ground is thirsty'. This is a figure of speech. An image is representation of something greater (i.e. a picture of the rocky mountains is a represenation of something greater) and is used as a figure of speech. John 4:24 says 'God is spirit'. The 'image' of God is spirit. In the begining God formed man's body out of the dust of the earth. He formed our body because the earth was already created. He made man a soul, which is breath life, because a soul was already created (Gen 1:21). He created them in His image, which is spirit. When the bible says 'God created man and woman in His image' He means He created man and woman to have a spirit, which is the image of God. I encourage you to read Genisis chapter 1 and see for yourself the defitnitions of formed, made, and created.
God is internal to man. He does not exist outside the mind of man. Actually, nothing exists outside the mind of man. But of course the answer to this question will vary according to your religion and beliefs. Some will even say that the question does not make sense, as they believe that God does not exist.
I believe that all of man kind was made by the wonderful God, so yes, Lilith was made by our God. ^Previous answer ]]| Edit: Here are your lists of gods: shiva, vishnu, and more.
God said "good" twice on the sixth day of creation when he created animals and then created man and woman. He saw that it was good when he created the animals and again when he created humans in his own image.
Genesis 1: 26 shows that when God made man he said. " Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. God made us to be visible creatures, but God is a spirit, which means that He is invisible. So being in God's likeness means that we have received the ability to have God's qualities. Which are according to Galatians 5: 22.23 described as the spirit of God, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. After creating everything that is needed on earth for the human race to be happy, here is how God is described in Genesis 1: 31 . " After that God saw evereything he had made, and look ! it was VERY GOOD, which means nothing was missing. So to answer your question which is: " What does God say about being a man? Genesis 2: 15-17 shows that we were to live up to God's expectations in His likeness, with qualities mentioned above and to take good care of our habitat as read in Genesis 1: 26; 2: 15. So being a man in God's eyes is to honour him as the creator of all things, described in Revelation 4: 11 in these words. " You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honour and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created. Being a man is also accepting that we are not gods as it was promised by Satan to Eve, in the Garden of E'den in Genesis 3: 5
You could say that, man made temples to God, but I don't. I like to think of it as God's house and our place to worship him.
Definition of the word spirit: The Hebrew word ru'ach and the Greek pneu'ma, which are often translated "spirit", have a number of meanings. All of them refer to that which is invisible to human sight and which gives evidence of force in motion. Jesus referred to the holy spirit as a "helper". Read John 14: 16, 17 26 but none of these expression prove that the holy spirit is a person and it is logical to conclude that the holy spirit is the active force of God. It is not a person but is a powerful force that God causes to emanate from himself to accomplish his holy will. Read Psalm 104: 30 ; 2 Peter 1: 21; Acts 4: 31. Having the above in mind, the question that people spiculate on is " Is there a spirit of man that survives the death of the body? " Here is what the Bible has to say )- to me they belong. As the soul who sins is the one who will die". ( Some traslations render the Hebrew word " ne'phesh "as " soul" in other passages use the expression "the man" or " the one ". So, the ne'phesh, the soul, is the person, not an immaterial part of him that survives when the body dies. Read Psalm 146: 4: his spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground, which was what was told to Adam in Genesis 3: 19. Ecclesiastes 3: 19-21 explains that the sons of mankind and animals have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the other dies, and there is no superiority of the man over animals, they all return to dust. John 4: 24 reminds us that God is a spirit, which means invisible to humans. Isaiah 8: 9 shows that there are also wicked spirits and 1 John 5: 19 talks about Satan as the wicked spirit that is misleading the whole world. So to answer your question concerning the nature of man as a spirit. The answer is : spirits are invisible and humans are visible. We were able to see that there are wicked sprits that can wrongly influence people. However God's active force "spirit" can influence us to live up to his requirements. Read 2 Corinthians 5: 5
In Genesis, it says that God made man out of the dust of the Earth. God made man out of dust and in His image for the Garden of Eden.

The Great Barrier Reef is a giant coral reef. It is basically a large collection of aragonite structures produced by living organisms. In a sense, it is neither man made nor God made. (If you are a creationist, and believe that God created all the creatures of the earth, then you could say that the Great Barrier Reef was indirectly made by God or a byproduct of Gods creation).
God.
