Hello.

Genesis 1: 27 reads: "And God went on to create the man in his image, in God's image he created him; male and female he created them.

What makes humans unique? Since we are made in God's image, we can reflect his qualities, such as love and justice. He also created us with the ability to learn languages, appreciate art, and enjoy music. And unlike any animal, we can worship our Creator.

Obviously, men and women are physically different, God made men and women to fulfill specific roles, so they need qualities and skills that will help them to carry out their respective assignments.

Psalm 139 14 which is a melody written by King David. reads: " I praise you because in an awe-inspiring way I am wonderfully made. Your works ( God's works) are wonderful, I know this wery well. Indeed the more we learn about the human body, the more we find ourselves awed by God's wisdom.

To illustrate: We started as a single cell from our mother, fertilized by a sperm from our father. Soon the cell started to divide. The end product, are made of some 100 trillon cells.

The cell is far more intricate than any man-made machine of factory. Scientists say that a cell is like a walled city-- one with controlled entrances and exits, a tranportation system, a communications network, power plants, production plants waste disposal and recycling facilities, and even a sort of central government in its nucleus. Furthermore, the cell can make a complete replica of itself within just a few hours!

Not all cells are the same. As the cell of an embryo continue to devide, they asume very different functions. Some will be nerve cells; other bone, muscle, blood, or eye cells. All such differentiation is programmed into the cell's " library" of genetic blueprints, the DNA. Read Psalm 139: 16 where King David explains that all our parts were written in God's book.

So to answer your question about Genesis 1: 27 about God's creation of mankind and the complex way our body was made and all the things we can do with the gift that we have received the day we were born, we all have so many reasons to be thankful to our Creator.

The best way to show our appreciation to our creator is to imitate his qualities written in Galatians 5. 22,23 called the fruitage of the spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, mildness, self-control. Read James 3: 17 too.

Kind regards
