You are asking for im to say that you are right and he is wrong.If one of your friends was a user of hard drugs, a swinger, Pastifarian (worshipping the Flying Spaghetti Monster), a member of the Church of the Subgenius (or any of the more mainline religions like Moslem, Hindu or Buddhist) and asked you to come to meet with him and his friends. Assuming it was pretty obvious that your friend fully expected that you would "see the light" and join up after this introduction. How would you feel?Most people prefer to find their own way in these matters. Tricky question! I work as a Chaplain in the British Armed Forces and I run into these issues on a daily basis and the best bit of advice I can give you is 'less is more'! Don't push because people don't like doing things under pressure so a little encouragement is good but not to much. Faith is one of those things that has to come from the individual. Try mentioning that you enjoy church and they are welcome to join if they would like. They might have questions about the proceedings at church and let them know that you cant do anything wrong in church and all the church is about is relaxing, enjoying and worshipping.
