I searched through the online library and did not find a religious belief system for William Ayers. He was part of a movement called The Weatherman and the SDS called the Students for a Democratic Society. In 1968 and 1969 he and others protested against the US and violence ensued. Later in life he had abandoned all the protesting and radical ideas. He speaks and teaches and works in a think tank. So I would say idealism and knowledge are his values rather than a religious system.
William Ayers is not known to publicly adhere to a specific religion. He is a retired professor in the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a former member of the radical left-wing group Weather Underground. Ayers tends to focus more on social and political activism rather than religious affiliations.

No. Ayers Rock was named by explorer William Gosse in 1873, after the former Premier of South Australia, Sir Henry Ayers.

No, not really. The visitor logs for the White House in 2009 listed a "William Ayers," but reporters who checked into it found it was not the same Bill Ayers as the former 1960s radical and current educational advocate. In fact, there is no evidence that the controversial Bill Ayers has received any personal White House invitations.
Barack Obama was born on August 4th, 1961. So, he wasn't a newborn, he was closer to 8-10 years old during that time. Actually, Obama wasn't accused of associating with Ayers during Ayers' time with the Weather Underground terrorist group. Rather, Obama launched his political career from a fund raiser at William Ayers home in 1995. They also worked together on other projects. It needs to be noted that William Ayers never repented for his terrorist actions and charges were dropped against him due to illegal wiretaps. Today, Ayers claims of the Weather Underground, "We didn't do enough." What Ayers' group did when Obama was 8 years old was bomb the Pentagon, The Capitol and judges' homes. Ayers' girlfriend was killed why attempting to assemble a nail bomb in lower Manhattan.
Indigenous Australians call the monolith Uluru. It was named "Ayers Rock" by William Gosse in 1873 in honor of the Chief Secretary of South Australia, Sir Henry Ayers. The dual naming policy of 1993 allowed the name to reflect both the traditional, Aboriginal name and the name given it by the English settlers - Uluru/Ayers Rock.
The Aborigines have known about Uluru for thousands of years. Explorer William Gosse, of the South Australian Survey Department, is believed to have been the first European explorer to see Ayers Rock. Gosse discovered the rock (now known by its native name of Uluru) by accident during an expedition through Australia's interior. The need to find water for his camels forced him to take a more southerly course than he had originally planned. On 18 July 1873 he sighted Ayers Rock, recording that, "This rock is certainly the most wonderful natural feature I have ever seen". Known to the indigenous Australians as Uluru, the rock was named Ayers Rock after Sir Henry Ayers, Premier of South Australia at the time.
