There are lots of books to read about any number of cultures, nations, ethnic groups, religions, organizations, etc. You can also travel to different locations and get to know people yourself. As they say, travel is broadening. You can (if you so desire) even marry someone whose behavior and beliefs are different from yours, which provides rich opportunities to observe that person and those behaviors and beliefs.
