Saint Raphael is a principal character in the Book of Tobit which is an Old Testament book in the original Bible still used by Catholics. This was The Bible for over 1500 years until Martin Luther came along and found certain books of the Old Testament which were in disagreement with his personal beliefs. He threw them out of his Bible. The Book of Tobit makes for wonderful reading and will give you a great introduction to the Archangel Raphael and his work.
