Conversely, the second creation story in Genesis 2:4b-25 was not limited to just six days, so could have taken as long as God chose. It is linked through Adam's descendants down to historical times, which is how theologians have been able to create a timeline for creation.
The Book of Genesis ends with the death of the legendary Joseph, somewhere around 2,200 years after the creation of Adam in the second creation story - around 1800 BCE, although estimates vary.
