Answer 1
The story of Samson and Delilah is one of the most famous in the Old Testament. God gave Samson superhuman strength, but the strength would be taken away if Samson's hair was cut. Samson fell in love with Delilah and eventually told her the secret about his hair being the source of his strength. She shaved his head while he was sleeping, and he was later blinded and enslaved.
Answer 2
Samson was a man that God raised up to start a war with the Philistines that would last for many years before they were defeated by Israel. Samson was very strong physically and killed many Philistines. Delilah was a woman in whom Samson was interested and the woman who finally discovered the secret of Samson's strength. Actually God was the source of Samson's strength, but Samson believed his strength lay in his hair which had not been cut since birth as he was under a Nazarite vow. You will find their story in Judges, chapters 13 - 16. A very interesting story.
The story of Samson and Delilah can be found in the book called Judges.
Samson is to his hair. Like how David used a sling to defeat Goliath, Samson's strength came from his long hair, as described in the biblical story of Samson and Delilah.
Yes, according to the biblical story in the Book of Judges, Delilah betrayed Samson by revealing the secret of his strength to the Philistines in exchange for silver. This led to Samson's capture and eventual downfall.
There is no indication in the Biblical account that Samson and Delilah were married. Delilah was a Philistine woman who deceived Samson and cut his hair while he was sleeping, thereby causing him to lose his strength.
It was not, in fact, Delilah that cut off Samson's hair. First of all, we should note Samson's head was shaved, not clipped. Delilah made Samson "sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head." So, it seems poor Delilah has received a good deal of bad press she didn't deserve.
