1 SAMUEL 9:1-2(NEW KING JAMES VERSION)It says in the chapter and verse-There was a man of Benjamin whose name was KISH the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power. And he (KISH) had a choice and handsome son whose name was Saul.

The Above anser is ENTIRELY INCORRECT. That is the lineage of King Saul who was King before King David. They lived about 1,000 years before the Saul who became the Apostle Paul. I haven't found any record of the Father of Paul, but if I do then I will let you know.

The Bible does not say. The closest we get to Paul's genealogy is the fact that he was a Jew, from a long line of Pharisees(Acts 23:6) born a Roman Citizen (Acts 22:25-28) in Tarsus of Cilicia, and instructed by the famous teacher, Gamaliel (Acts 22:3+4).

The bible reveals little about Paul's family. But it does reveal Paul as part of Herod's family. In Romans 6:11 says, "Greet my kinsman Herodion. Greet house in the Lord who belong to the family of Narcissus."

Another Answer:

The Scripture does not mention Paul's genealogy, only that he was a Jew:

Acts 21:39New King James Version (NKJV)

39 But Paul said, "I am a Jew from Tarsus, in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city; and I implore you, permit me to speak to the people."

Herod's line was Idumean - part of modern Jordan today and descendants of Esau. Romans 16:11 mentions a man with the name 'Herodion' a probable Jew like Paul and has no association with the Herodian line of Kings.

His father was Zebedee.

His mother was Salome.

We know this because the mother of Zebedee's children was identified in Matt. 27:56. She was said to have been with Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, when Jesus was being crucified. Her name is given in exactly the same context in Mark 15:40, and her name is specified as Salome.

That would be Timothy's, Paul mentions them in his second letter: 2+Timothy 1:5 "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also."

In the New Testament, Timothy's mother, Eunice, and grandmother, Lois, are mentioned in 2 Timothy 1:5. Paul references their faith and influence on Timothy.
