By creating us in His own image (Genesis 1:27), with a godly soul and free-will, God has given us the capacity to reflect His qualities and moral standards; His sense of right and wrong.
God said "good" twice on the sixth day of creation when he created animals and then created man and woman. He saw that it was good when he created the animals and again when he created humans in his own image.
The Bible says God was in existence before man: Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. and man was created in God's image. Genesis 1:26,27 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
On the sixth day of creation, God created land animals and finally created human beings in his own image. On the seventh day, God rested from his work of creation, blessing and sanctifying the day as a day of rest, known as the Sabbath.
Gods did not create humans. All other gods are false gods and are not living gods except for Satan who is the god of this system of things, however he is also a spirit creature. There is only one God who created humans and his name Is Jehovah. He is the creator of the entire universe not just humans. He is a living God. God is a spirit and humans cannot see spirits, the angels are also spirit creatures.
Clearly the standard answer from the Bible and most other historical and literary sources is that God made man in His image. However the wording of the question, and the fact that the author failed to capitalize "god" though it was used as a name, indicates that this person most likely disagrees with this answer and is instead raising a philosophical question. In other words, is God real, or did we make him up? (the questioner is clearly interested in the existence of the monotheistic God of Christianity, Judaism, or Islam, etc..., as the question refers to "god" in the singular and uses a familiar biblical phrase) It certainly sounds like a reasonable hypothesis to say that humans could have made up a god to suit their needs; Needs for security, purpose, love, immortality. Of course most people throughout history and today, both educated and not so, have concluded that this hypothesis is incorrect. One cannot say this with scientific certainty, but one also cannot support this hypothesis with scientific certainty. In the end this question has been argued in one form or another for most of human history. A wiki answer will hardly be capable of touching on more than a small sliver of the evidence, which would not do justice to the question. Good luck in your search.
Well, since people have created god as the embodiment of all the things that they wanted to aspire to (an ideal image of humanity), you can create your own god by creating your own image of the perfect you. And so when you have create that perfect image of yourself, you will have created your own god. From there onwards you will only have to meditate on that image daily and develop parts of yourself so that you can gradually become the perfect you that you have always wanted to be.
God created man in His image by endowing him with qualities such as intelligence, morality, and the capacity for relationships, reflecting God's own nature.
Genesis 1 : 2....GOD created man in His own image. I agree.
Genesis 1:27 states, "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." This verse highlights that humans are created in the image and likeness of God.
Man is the creation of his own image and not the image of any thing or any one else he is his own god
It means that ; God thought that we would be the most evovled and smart, so he said that if humans(the smartest and most evolved) were to be in his own body image, we could better succeed
There is proof that there was the first people on Earth in Genesis. Adam and Eve was created when God spoke life into the humans and became flesh out of the dust of the earth to be in his own image, so does it says in the bible:"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them." (Genesis 1:27)
It is hard to say. God made humans out of his own image I doubt unless they have changed themselves that angels are any different.

from God, God created man in his own image
Ludwig Feuerbach (1804-1872) wrote it in "Essence of Christianity: God the Image of Man. Man's Dependence upon Nature the Last and Only Source of Religion" (1841)""It is not as in the Bible, that God created man in his own image. But, on the contrary, man created God in his own image."The statement plays on a well-known passage from the bible. 'God created man in his own image' Gen. 1:27
Yes (Genesis 1:26-30).
