Our souls need to be revived in order to spend eternity with God. A "revival" service, held by many Christian denominations, and non-denominational churches, is usually a series of services, with the sermon and music specifically designed to "revive" a person's love for - or commitment to - God. A soul needs to be "revived" because it is spiritually "dead" through sin, original and actual. (Original sin is the essentially sinful state into which all humans are born, due to the First (original) Sin of Adam and Eve, a condition passed down to all humans, as a sort of "spiritual DNA". Actual sin is sin which each individual commits.) According to (most) Christian teaching, Jesus Christ came into the world to redeem all of mankind from the consequences of sin (eternal separation from God). Sin is generally described as "that which offends God," and/or breaks His commandments. Because that definition is vague, and due to the historical rise of Protestantism and "non-denominationalism", through which differing understandings of Christian concepts are formed, many churches have different definitions of what does or does not constitute sin. Nevertheless, all "mainstream" Christians believe that our immortal souls are born in a state of sin, and live that way until, at least, the person is baptized, in accordance with Jesus' instructions. (It is generally held that baptism washes away the stain of original sin, and - in the case of an adult - all sins actually committed by that person until that point.) "Revivals," are generally the purview of evangelical and non-denominationaal Protestants. Their purpose in most cases is to bring to conversion all those souls who had not been "revived" by belief in Jesus Christ and baptism in His name. Often, their secondary purpose is to reinvigorate souls who have become "lukewarm" in following their faith, or who have lapsed in their devotion to God. To sum up: Christians believe that each person is born with an immortal soul stained by sin. They believe that faith in Jesus Christ, (Who is God-made-man, Who paid the price for our sins), and baptism, are necessary to bring each soul back to life. Souls must be revived in order to attain Heaven.

Which religions do not believe in the soul?

Yes. Bratheism it is where people follow others. As far as religious denominations, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that human beings lack souls, and that post-apocolyptic Resurrection entails God implanting the "memories" of deceased persons into the minds of newly created adult bodies. Some in the faith compare death to turning off a computer, and resurrection to uploading data from a hard drive.
