Do red eared sliders like music?

They have the ability to bite and may bite your finger if you hand feed them or they are hungry and want food. My baby turtles bite me when they want attention :). They usually won't bite in defence, instead just hide in their shell.
Red eared sliders do bite.......If you put a worm in front of their head. My sister did that with our turtle, Edward Twilight(my mom's idea, I dont like it), she had a hard time getting him to let go.

Yes, All animals fight. They will fight over food a lot. They will nip at each other but they wont officially kill each other it is mostly little fighting over food and sometimes the warmth. Its not their fault it's their instinct.

i would have to disagree with that answer. i have a red eared-slider turtle. i have had him for about 5 years. when i got him, he was the size of a U.S. quarter dollar. now... 5 years later he is about 15 inches long, from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. i have kept him in a water filled aquarium his whole life (of course with land that he can access at any time he'd like). when he was about a year old, give or take, i put a small empty glass shooter (a single shot of liquor) bottle, with a metal lid in his tank, filled with random rocks, stones and pebbles that i had found. i find the answer to be wrong because from that day to the present day, whenever i turn my music on loud, he gets down at the bottom of his tank, and he extends his front legs out as far in front of his head as they can go, and he taps his claws on the lid of the bottle repetitively with the beat of the song. the louder the music, the more he does this. i have just come to the conclusion that my turtle is odd... and i wouldn't have him any other way!!

Hahaha that is sooo funny! I don't know if you know this but turtles court by brushing and tapping their claws on each others cheeks or arms. I think that your turtle is thinking that the vibrations coming through the water is the begining of courtship so he replies by tapping the bottle, his chosen mate! Traditionally males begin courtship so if you're sure that your turtles is a male he might just not know this. Anyway, your turtle is courting a bottle! I recommend finding him a live mate.

Yes, you should always get two red ear slidder turtles. You should get them at the same time and from the same place.
