Not usually. King snakes come from the southwestern united states and northwestern Mexico, where are few trees. They generally hide under rocks, logs, etc. and may even burrow in sand if possible. They may climb small bushes or shrubs, but will not climb tall trees such as cedar, oak, etc. In captivity, they may climb a branch placed in their cage, but other than that, they do not like to be high off the ground.
