Take your pick... Anaconda, Boa constrictor, Burmese python, Reticulated python.
The name comes from the pattern - large splotches of one color with relatively thin lines of another color surrounding the splotches. This pattern is called reticulated, and the reticulated giraffe has its name for the same reason.
Reticulated Python. Largest recorded is in Indonesia at 49 feet long 900 pounds...Cenobio also has a large snakeWhile it is true that the reticulated python is the longest snake in the world, the Green anaconda is the largest. They are pound for pound the heaviest and largest snakes in the world. They grow to 30+ feet but their incredible girth makes them the bigger and stronger than the reticulated python.
I'm sorry, d'you mean a python? If so, it's a large, non-venemous snake which kills by constriction. The longest record snake was a reticulated python, at 33 ft. in length.
Yes a reticulated python could easily eat a man. They are known to take down deer. Although a large reticulated python could eat a human I wouldn't say it's "easy" for them. For some reason they have a better time with horns and antlers than shoulders, I'm guessing because they're easier to break down. Snakes have really strong stomach acids.
Impossible to generalise - different reptiles have different eating habits. For example, a gecko will eat a few crickets every day - while something as large as a fully-grown Reticulated python only needs one large meal every six to eight months!
ALL snakes are meat-eaters - whether that's something as large as an antelope (for a Reticulated python) or termites (for a thread-snake) !
Corcodiles, alligators, king cobra's, anacondas, burmese python, reticulated pythons, komodo dragon... too many to name them all..
A reticulated python at 33ft in length. The longest snake is the Reticulated Python, found in Indonesia. The record length for an adult "retic" is believed to be around 30ft. No measured and documented specimens of this length have been found, however.
The longest snake is the Reticulated Python - which can grow to 32 feet (10 metres). The heaviest is the Anaconda.
It depends upon the species. Most python species are smallish, and are not dangerous. Large species such as the Australian scrub python, olive python, Burmese python and reticulated python are all known to have attacked people and are known to inflict horrible injuries and even death! It depends what specie of Python you're talking about. The smaller Pythons - such as the Royal python (Python regius) can give a nasty bite - but are not capable of harming people(due to their size). However - larger species - such as the African Rock Python (Python sebae sebae) are certainly large enough to swallow a small child.
Probably a Reticulated python (Python reticulatus) - Adults of this species are quite capable of constricting and swallowing antelope.
