Seal lions, just as other animals, have certain instinctive behaviors. One behavior is of the larger male sea lions, they secure dominance over other smaller sea lions. They are also a social creature, this means that they congregate together. They sleep next to each other and even on top of each other. In the water, they also swim in small groups.
