if cared for correctly they can live over 20 years

Added: A bearded dragon nowadays will live about 7-8 years with good care. The older breeds lasted longer but I have never seen a dragon live more than 15 years.

**ADD**I went to a reptile expo a couple months ago and there was an exhibit about beardies, and it said exactly what i put above. Correct me if im wrong But i believe that you may be talking about a Lawson's or Rankin's Dragon (mini versions of the bearded dragon)

In their own natural habitats in Australia they will live 20 years or longer for sure. The dragons that are bred as pets don't live that long, as much as I wish they would (can you tell I love my dragons!!) There is just so much inbreeding and no matter what we do for them as our pets, they just aren't in their own natural habitats so they dont live as...woah woah woah man, shut up, they live longer in captivity than in wild cause of no predators, THINK ABOUT IT!!!! and plus, they dont get hit by cars in captivity,

a breeder i know has a beardie that is over 20 (WOW!) years old!! *sigh* i hope warwick can live that long..
