Nope - it has a similar skeleton to all other snakes - a long spine and hundreds of pairs of ribs. The flying snake doesn't actually fly - it glides by flattening out the bulk of its body (think cobra hood !) - then it simply launches itself into the air, and uses air resistance to travel from tree to tree.
Their basic shape is cylindrical - just like any other snake. The term 'flying snake' comes from the fact they can flatten their body and glide (not fly) from tree-to-tree, if they need to escape from a predator.
