Why does your bearded dragon hide at night?

It has camouflage because it is orignally from the Australian deserts, which are obviously sandy, and so to hide from predators and to catch prey, the Bearded Dragon is also the colour of sand.

He could just be stressed but there is 2 things i'd like to address. First is UVB. Having a bad UVB will cause them to hide to get them away from it because it is uncomfortable to them. I really think his hiding sound like stress, but you still want to get a better UVB or it may cause health problems in the future. Thanks so much for asking that question.

He/she is reverting back to his/her wild instincts. In the wild they find a cave or dig their own to sleep in. It's their way of protecting themselves from predators.
