As a depressed teen, I will tell you that there is no cure. You can take a happy pill, but I do not because I do not believe in medicine. If they do not become happy on their own within months or years of leaving them alone, i suggest you talk with them about the effects of suicide. The only real thing that can keep a teen from not commiting suicide, is friends. Family is just annoying to them, but true friends......they help everything.
