According to some findings on the internet (links added), stay away from purchasing them. They are a waste of money.
As of November 2, 2008, there have been 4 comments on www.ComplaintBoard.com and 3 comments on www.MeasuredUp.com about smartlidz. Every comment has said that the product does not work. Some of those comments complain about the high shipping charges (5 to 10 times the price of the product). This does not bode very will for the product. Some of those comments have complained about not being able to cancel their order or not being able to return the product.
Retail stores like Bed, Bath, and Beyond do sell Smartlidz for $10, the same price as advertised, but without shipping charges. You can buy them there and return it if it does not work.
