Another portion of the sales proceeds goes to the Girl Scout council to support programs for the Girl Scouts. Each council determines how the funds are used. Most councils also provide sales incentives which may include some kind of credit which can be used for Girl Scout activities. My troop used their cookie profits in many ways. We did a lot of travel and attended many Girl Scout events along with a wide variety of community service projects and earning awards. Girl Scout cookies were a huge part of paying for all the activities we did!
