Girl Scout cookies are a nationally recognized product, so when people think of Girl Scouts, the first thing they usually think of is cookies! It is a huge money earning project for the troops and the Girl Scout council. However, Girl Scouts also sell other things. Most Girl Scout councils also host a nut and candy sale at a different time of the year. Some councils also host magazine sales or calendar sales. Depending on the council, Girl Scout troops may participate in other money earning projects, provided they follow GS guidelines and are approved by the Girl Scout council. Many of those projects involve selling items, especially items made by the girls them selves.
Membership in Girl Scouts can help a girl qualify for scholarships. Many scholarships look at the activities of applicants and Girl Scouting is a good community activity and can also provide a variety of experience, especially with leadership and community service. Earning the Girl Scout Gold Award can also help qualify for scholarships. A few colleges/universities have scholarships for girls who have earned the Gold Award and attend their college. Many Girl Scout councils also award scholarships to graduating Girl Scouts. Contact the local council to find out if they have a scholarship available.
This answer depends on what you mean by "centers". There are no Girl Guide/Girl Scout World Centers located in the US. Girl Scouts of the USA has the Edith Macy Conference Center, the Girl Scout National Historic Preservation Center, and the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace A National Center of Girl Scouts of the USA. So there are 3 national Girl Scout centers. There are more than 100 GSUSA Councils and each of them has at least one office and possibly other places they call 'centers' so a definite number would be difficult to determine.
Melinda Caroll composed the Girl Scout song, "Ignite", along with many other Girl Scout songs.
Since Girl Scouts are not required to sell Girl Scout products, there are many Girl Scouts who did not sell any Girl Scout cookies.
The answer depends on the policy of the local council or organization which runs the Girl Scout camp, so contact the council or organization to find out the cancellation policy. Many Girl Scout camps set a minimum number of registrations they must have in order to hold the camp. This is so that they will not lose money by holding the camp. If the registrations do not meet this minimum, the camp will be canceled, usually within a week or two after the registration deadline. Some Girl Scout councils will give the option of registering for another camp that still has open spots. Another reason for canceling Girl Scout camp might be due to weather or other natural causes such as flooding.

First of all, the program is set up to allow the girls to learn while selling. They set goals and learn about selling. They can also earn Girl Scout awards related to the activities they do while selling cookies. Second, troops keep a portion of the sale proceeds to use for troop activities. Another portion of the sales proceeds goes to the Girl Scout council to support programs for the Girl Scouts. Each council determines how the funds are used. Most councils also provide sales incentives which may include some kind of credit which can be used for Girl Scout activities. My troop used their cookie profits in many ways. We did a lot of travel and attended many Girl Scout events along with a wide variety of community service projects and earning awards. Girl Scout cookies were a huge part of paying for all the activities we did!
The uniforms are different. They used to wear skirts, leggings, long sleeves, and vests. The Girl Scout Brownie program has changed. For many years they earned "Try-Its" but now they are back to earning Girl Scout Brownie Badges. They can also earn badges by completing Girl Scout Brownie Journeys. The age level has also changed. Many years ago, Girl Scout Brownies were grades 3 and 4. Then they were changed to be grades 1, 2, and 3. Currently, Girl Scout Brownies are grades 2 and 3.
