Are Germans racist

There are racists in every single country. Being from Germany does not automatically make you racist.

During World War 2, Adolf Hitler was a racist and anti-Semitic (anti-Jew). But that does not mean every German is too.

Remember, Germans come in different skin colours too.

Germans face constant racism, hate, and stereotypical criticism because of the Nazis during WWII. The Nazis did absolutely horrible things to the Jews, gypsy's, gays, and intellectuals during this time. Many people associate those things with Germany as a whole, and not the Nazi party and Hitler.

This however, isn't the only time Germans have faced racism and hate, as far back as history goes, the Germans have been associated with power, evil, and corruption. Germany's (the Teuton's) influence on the crusades made for lots a hate by many different people because many believe that Germany was the one's who started the crusades, which is partially true.

The Crusades were a series of wars fought in the Middle East. The Christians started a war to eradicate to take parts of the "Holy Land" and The Teutons, who were a religious Christian group of knights much like the knights Templar who both originated in Germany, were the one's who started the war.

In the United States of America, during the first two World Wars, there was discrimination against Germans because the Americans were fighting against them. If you are talking about racism in Germany with people of certain decent or nationality, then yes, there was and still is racial discrimination in Germany.
