Nearly all receipt papers are suitable for recycling. You should use your town's "mixed paper" recycling bin.

Except for thermal receipt paper, which is very common today. Thermal receipt paper is created so that receipts can be printed without ink or ink cartridges. These receipts respond to a precisely controlled source of heat in the receipt "printer," causing small sections of the paper to turn black and thus creating images and words. This special paper is impregnated with all sorts of chemicals so that it responds to heat and nothing else in the environment. Thermal receipt paper is recognizable by its sheen and glossy feel.
