Can son wear his sisters clothes and pretend to be a girl?

* As disappointing and perhaps disturbing this may be for you realize this could be a phase. Many young children (ages five to twelve) will try on their sister's clothing simply out of curiosity. This does not mean your son his transsexual. If your son is 10 years or older sit down and communicate with him. Ask him right out why he prefers to wear his sister's clothing. It may be curiosity, but if he feels better dressing as a girl then get him psychological counseling to be sure he prefers being a girl and it's just a phase he is going through. It is most important, that should your son turn out to favor being a female that both parents don't reject who he is and accept him for what he is. Never mind gossip mongers and in today's society being a cross dresser or even being gay is not as frowned upon as it once was. Scientists believe they have isolated a gene that they feel dictates a gay person being trapped in their own body. Don't hit the panic button yet if your son hasn't hit puberty yet. Just so you will understand .. my brother who was nine at the time liked to wear my 1950's skirts with the crinoline underneath and twirl in it. He is now 64 years old and happily married with two grown sons.

Pretending to have a period like his sister really is the kicker here. There things called 'v-strings' that even make it appear as a man has a vagina by covering it in latex in the shape of the vulva and vagina: there's even one that allows for some way of appearing as if you have a period. There a couple of problems I have with this (and it's personal), if he is actually that into being like a girl, is he seeing a therapist for feelings of gender dysphoria? If he doesn't want to be a girl, why the period?

These devices appear to be sold to transsexuals to simulate menstruation, but from all indications almost none of the buyers are gender dysphoric; it appears to be fully fetishistic. Whether it is for themselves or a sexual partner doesn't really matter. It's not about gender it's about sex. Those who actually are transsexuals know that for the next 5 (and likely 15) years there is no way they will be able to have anything appearing to be closely related to a menstrual cycle: why traumatize themselves by using this "falsie"? This is something Buffalo Bill in 'Silence of the Lambs' would use (till he had a real woman's to cover with.) Even Lector pointed out Buffalo Bill is not transsexual, he just thinks he is.
