If you look at you surrounding community you will see the parts of town that the houses are better cared for, as well as the portion of town that is not as updated - have less lawn etc. TYPICALLY you will notice that those with the bigger, more expensive, better cared for homes have better jobs. Those who live in the less expensive and maybe less cared for will have the lower income homes - possibly working more hours for less money and dont have time or funds to fix them up.

The term "image" can have different meanings based on the context in which the term is used. As an example a positive image of a society is based on yes education levels and the number of well educated people in the society.
