The best way to contribute to a satisfying home life is to open the home for free discussions. I have found it helpful to have a "beef session" once a week. This was the time when everyone could put in their two cents about what was going on or make a complaint and hope for some adjustment. For a family to get along there is a need to express ones opinion and be heard.

There are many problems that arise within a family. Between parents who have different opinions on how to raise their children. Between younger children who resent older siblings, and between teenagers who feel that they know it all. We are all self-involved. A satisfying home life is a blessing that few of us encounter in today's open-ended society. Let everybody have their say and try to make whatever adjustments are possible.
